"Very relaxing"

submission: Linkaball
date: March 6, 2008

This is a great game to chill out and play. Easy to learn, teaches you while you play, and best of all: you can keep trying till you figure out how to pass each level without wiping your points. Good time waster that won't frustrate you to the point of anger.

Author's Response:

I was worried that I'd messed up the learing curve - since I'd been having to play it for hours at a time during development every level appeared too easy, glad to hear this isn't the case :)

The Throne Room (SW3-4)

"good trombone"

date: March 10, 2008

good job recording the trombone. very clean, forward sound, and good job playing it. i'd like to see what you could do with something like this if it ended up in a remix.

the ska song (jazz versionwip)

"Good Musical Idea"

date: March 7, 2008

I like this idea a lot. If you want your guitar tracks to stand out a bit more, you could try putting an equalizer on them. I like the tone they have. If you raise the 800-1000 hz range, it will make them more throaty, but that will give you more of a classical sound. if you want them to have more bite, try a boost in the 2000-4000 hz range. if you're satisfied with their presence, you can always make them sound a little more detailed by boosting the eq above 10k. be careful with eq though. it's easy to ruin a good track... i would know :-) also, i'd love to hear some real gentle jazz drumming with this, like brushes on a ride and snare, with a soft kick, but i'd keep the beat fast, this song has a lot of energy, despite how quiet it is, which is something you don't run into a lot. all in all, though, it's a great track. thanks for submitting it :-)

Winter (Extended)

"Needs a change-up"

submission: Winter (Extended)
date: March 6, 2008

piano is good, and your choice in chord structure is appropriate to the theme, but you need to go somewhere rhythmically and melodically

March 6, 2008

Author's Response:

Do I now? And how do you suppose? Rhythmically and melodically this track is perfectly balanced so I'm not sure... maybe you are tone deaf? I'm pretty sure you threw "Rhythm and Melody" in there to make it seem like a valid point... but that really made no sense at all. It is a piano piece/movement, so how does it need to go "somewhere"? Did you even listen to the song or did you sit and listen to the beginning repeat for a few bars and go "it's not changing WOW!!!"?
